Bio-D.A.P. (PROM) is a type of fertilizer used as an alternative to di-ammonium phosphate and it is an important source of nutrients for Organic farming. Phosphorus is one of the important macro nutrients required by all plants. The content of the phosphorus is limited in soil, so must be added for the extensive plant growth that is desired for crop production. Bio-D.A.P. is a value-added product produced by co-compositing high-grade rock phosphate in fine size with organic matters collected from various agricultural sources. It contains 12 to 15 % (Min) of phosphorus and 3 to 5 % (Min) of Nitrogen.

- It is an alternative to chemical fertilizer, DAP and makes soil soft and enriched with nutrients for long time
- Contains three major nutrients –1). Phosphorous, 2). Organic carbon & 3).Nitrogen
- Cost is less than chemical fertilizers and productivity is high

- Slow release of phosphate which helps to maintain constant level of phosphorus nutrient in soil
- Due to organic manure presence, leaching and runoff will be prevented

- Bio-D.A.P. is very effective as phosphatic fertilizer even in saline soils where chemical DAP completely failed
- Enhances the growth of soil microorganism that assist the dissolution of P either applied to the soil or naturally present in the soil
